Asbestos Control and Management Program

This training will discuss the hazards associated with exposure to asbestos and the regulations and standards used in controlling asbestos exposure. This training will also discuss appropriate asbestos abatement procedures, including applicable sampling and monitoring procedures including control measures so as to reduce risks associated with asbestos exposure.

Asbestos fibres are health hazardous and must be handled properly. This training will allow all workers including their supervisors understand what needs to be done when handling asbestos.
Asbestos Control and Management Program Training will enable participants to:

• Understand asbestos and its various forms and uses;
• Understand and determine health effects associated with asbestos exposure;
• Locate asbestos-containing material in a building where employee works;
• Identify damaged, deteriorating, and de-laminating asbestos containing material and develop applicable abatement procedures;
• Conduct abatement procedures safely and monitor worker exposures; and
• Develop asbestos control and management plan that is compliant with regulations and standards.
